Wow looks like you guys had a great season. Nice looking dogs too. Are those triggs I see in there?

All of the dogs aren't in the pic.All the walkers are Finley River,a Mike Kemp female[solid red dog]and some of her offsping.The other dogs are lep curs.

back in the olden days-- - i thought roadin was the only way to coonhunt-

ive had 2 dogs , that would pause at a fork in the road--- id use my turn signal to tell them which fork to take--

id say they was roaded a little at nite coonhunting
my first bear dog would not bark on back of the truck-- she would just get excited- then id turn around and road her back -- so guess she was a road dog too -lol

tough to beat a good rig dog but if your haveing one them days--- getting strikes but not taking it out - ,,n u think its the weather conditions-- roading them can pay off --i still road dogs sometimes --usually when im desperate

i had a blutick beagle cross- , he was a rabbit hound-and a fair bird dog - i used to road him to hunt partridge and hare .. i didnt road him cause i thought was a good way to start a hare --- but roaded him when i was after birds----


he didnt point like a real bird dog but just enuff so he was usable - and once he hit a hare ,he was done bird hunting
