I think with the grit and drive that he has I'm going to be giving him the chance to prove him self. Our season starts the 14th of sept and runs to the end of october. I think by then he will get things straightened out and have very many chances to get some good runs in. If by the end of the season he has not shown improvement then I would say he's not a bear dog. I personally believe he will improve every bait site we hit. Thank you all for the responses and opinions. I'm new to bear hunting and don't have a pack of bear dogs to start another dog so its proving to be a challenge that both randy and I have accepted.
