Walkers and plotts. Either one woks great in my book. Not tryin to offend anybody else bcuz honestly, a good dog ain't all in the breed. It's in the trainer and even just in the individual dog.

Rat terriers hahahahahahahahaha Jk . Walkers , plotts , resbones , blue dogs . It doesn't matter if its pink and it trees a bear ill take it gladly!

Walkers and plotts. Both do great in my opinion. Walkers seem to be better all around hounds, but plotts are normally a little meaner makin a better bear dog

Bottom line is no matter Wut color u run find a good solid line bred strain of hound that produces bear dogs . There's bout 10% of hounds on the ground tday that should b fed . To many guys settle or don't no or haven't seen what real bear dogs r . There are lines that produce cold nose fast smart gritty hounds . The problem is people breeding papers to papers or junk cause they never seen or don't no any better. That's what's bringing the hounds of tday down. My advice is look at the faults in ur hounds first . If ur makin excuses for ur hounds not catchin game regularly then it's time to look at the end if ur leash.
