This seems like an easy fix. Just post a few hunting pics of dogs at tree and a few videos at tree! I for one am always interested in dogs more than what one has shot. Andy

I have bought several pus from Dan and he always was good on his word. All would tree their own game, some just weren't to my par, Dan always replaced them or offered money back. One dog I've gotten from him will run with anybodies bear pack guaranteed. Mr. Chow, why is it you have no pictures on here? Are you a fake?

Mr.chow you can keep the pudding as I'm only interested in the proof you jump on here stirring up trouble with bold accusations ,but do not expect to provide the proof? Have you hunted Dans dogs? What's the story here? Or is that all this is? Just a story?

This will be my final post in this thread.

First, I've gotten tired of how this thread turned but that is not the main reason I'm at the end of this part of the first leg of The Ultimate Bobcat Dog, it's just a contributing factor. I did not put this thread up to argue.

The real reason is that Tommy and Vicki are now allowed to run a wide variety of game and a decision has been made to move on and start Part 1.5. Tommy and Vicki are great game catchers and they have taken things to levels I have never seen but the lack of natural tree has pushed me towards a slightly new angle. As I have mentioned earlier, I have a full stag male named Duce that trees about like a good kemmer cur. I know from having a few Kemmers that that tree style is more than adequate for bobcats and I'm very interested in making another batch of lurchers using Duce as the stud. Now, what to use for a female???

I have been spending copious amounts of time looking for the right collie female. This is much harder than looking for a male as many of you are aware. I will be keeping Tommy and Vicki and hunting them with the "A-Team" here which consists of my core leopard team for bobcats. I may decide to move them on at some point but I'm still having a great time with them and they are getting to the point where I can tell them which animal to look for by voice or sound (I differentiate between different kinds of animals by the cadence of hisses, clicks and whistles). These are all things that are a great testament to their intelligence.

The problem I have with the current state of things is that I'm looking for the ultimate bobcat dog and settling for a dog that is missing something that I think should be natural is not going to work when it's going to be the base for future crosses. In the same way that you would not build a house on a non-level foundation, I'm not going to go forward until I have the base right.

All of that being said, they are taking instruction and teaching them to tree is working. I just don't think that everyone (or many people at all) are going to want to have to teach the treeing part of the game to their dogs.

So, onward and upward.

Stay tuned for Part 1.5. It may take me a little while to find that female but I am doing a cross of Duce and Vicki that may or may not produce what I'm looking for. Duce is 28" at about 100# and Vicki is 25" at about 52# That should put their pups in the magic height range of 25"-26" I hope. :)

Dan, please keep us updated on Part 1.5, I really enjoyed this thread.

Mr. Chow has given this thread a lot of spice and provided great entertainment. He is a prime example of somebody that should seek professional help, to deal this his issues.
