Appropriations Committee is planning to bypass suspense and pass SB1221 out of committee to the Senate floor. This is clearly a railroad job designed to minimize our participation in the process. Therefore, we need to ask everyone to come to the Capitol as on April 24th. We know this is a done deal. There may be less of an opportunity to state our opposition, but we need to keep up the heat anyway. We will use this day to walk around to Senate offices and express our opposition.
So people should:

1.) Arrive at 8:30 and assemble at the hearing room 4203.

2.) The hearing is scheduled for 11:00am.

3.) We will visit Senate offices after the hearing.

4.) Plan to spend all day at the Capitol.

5.) The Senate vote could come as early as May 14th !

Got to love it!

California Hound Hunter's,

I hope everyone pays close attention to what Dale posted because we as hound hunters are being railroaded. I know CHC posted that it wasn't necessary to have everyone make an appearance to the appropriations committee, but that was before we knew that they wanted to really play dirty hardball.

Now get this, the figure they (when I say they I mean the supporting party) came up with that the State of California will lose if the bill passes in revenue is 129,000.00. That's right 129 thousands dollars state wide. What a joke! Hell the out of staters spend more than that!

They have been playing dirty hardball for a while now as we stay politically correct. This whole campaign of 1221 has been nothing but lies deciet and money talking. The CHC needs to start making drastic decisions about what needs to be done before it is to late. As i have said before we need to start fighting fire with fire instead of trying to put there fire out with our garden hose.

Here is a link to Ca Fish and Game licence and tag sale revenues.

I buy my family about 6 licenses and tags a year, just so I can run all my dogs during deer season. Looks like they better sharpen their pencil and add some zero's to the 129,000. :agmnt

CHC has changed there previous statement not to show up in force, but now after this B.S. the game has changed we need to be there in even bigger numbers than on the 24th.

Trust me I feel the same way. Its a 500 mile round trip for me to go to Sacramento. Its rumored that it may go to the floor as early as May 14th! I believe its the supporters way for us not to gather in so many numbers. They know we all have jobs and families to support.

By the time its done I will have driven over 1500 miles just to make all the committees. That's tough with the high gas prices. But I will do what it takes to win this bill! I know thousands of others feel the same way. We need to stay strong and fight till the end.

Where did the info saying that 1221 was passing strait through appropriations and going to the senate floor come from? I recieved the email from Irv as well but is this info fact? Where did it come from and why is there such a breakdown in communication that possibly a large portion of us simply won't be there because they were told to stay home??

Well those who have numbers to some of these members needs to be on the phone with them and get them to the Capital on Monday! Or even if you know where they live, stop by and say hello, let them know what's going on.

Baffled. $129,000. Are you freaking kidding me!?. Clint's right. Boxing gloves need to come out. Time for us to give them the finger, then give them a left hook. Maybe a swift kick to the balls.

Also, in regards to the Media, I was urging folks to refrain from speaking with Mr. Noyles or Channel 7 and any other main stream as I also believe that they will not have our best interest...

How can you expect the public to hear your perspective if you don't talk to the media? I have no one's interests in mind besides telling as accurate and balanced of a story as I can. I'll be there Monday.

How are we supposed to call out these people on their lies? I'll have to agree with Mr. Noyes. These antis just keep posting articles about how horrible hunting is and the loss of revenues isn't going to be that much. But where are our articles and news clips showing this SPORT is not horrible and call all the antis and "wonderful" politicians out on their 99% lies they keep coming out with to get this horrible bill passed. 129,000 in revenue really!!!? Look at F&G stats over $500,000. Tags alone. Yet politicians are really going to pass it to the floor!? Sorry I may sound redundant but I'm just extremely sick at how this is going. I'm new to this SPORT and do not want to lose it.

Oh and here is another Anti media piece.

Dan Noyes if you really want to print the truth how about looking the true story behind the HSUS, at the -1% of there budget actually going to the shelters that most all there member don't know even about and that 48% of there budget go's to salaries and pensions, plus that there entire agenda is to shut down all hunting in the US.
