wanchese: Hard enough tracking and keeping up with 1 chase though we have had on very few occasions that the hounds would break up when they happen to cross another bear .Not sure what caused that but we did end up having 2 boars treed about 1/2 mile apart.

dirtybrindle, you are right, i have never seen a pedigree under the tree, but you cant breed a race horse out of a mule either.

.we have one block that realy holds the bears, it is the closest block to the corn fields that border our club. last year on opening day we turned out about 60 dogs in that block and had four races going at one time in a 1/2 by 1 mile block. we killed 4 bears over 200, the biggest being around 450 before noon. like i said it is a little bit of a mess, but we usualy have at least 10 guys there when we turn out the huge packs and we love it and it produces consistantly. we only turn out about twenty to thirty if it is 5-6 six of us, we turn out 10-15 and if the bear crosses out of the block we dump the rest right behind him.

we run bear with 2 main dogs. then the pup maily follows. he is still learning. but learning fast. and i guess if you want to count it we have to walk one of the other ones in cuase he dont know what he is doing that much. but we can tree a bear with 2 dogs.
