God has blessed my family and friends! It makes me very proud to see so many standing up and being counted. We all have an uphill battle but with God all things are possible. Let us pray! God bless you all!

Best decision I ever made was to trust Christ with my life. He has led me down a path that has proved to me, that what He sees for my life is far greater than anything I could have ever seen for myself. It's all about a personal relationship with him. I pray that all of your hounds will be a tool for you to develop relationships and be a witness the same way the Lord has allowed mine to be for me. For His Glory!

Probably the most important post I'll ever reply to! I've been a Christian for a while now. I know this sounds like foolishness to some of you reading this, but when I call myself a Christian I am saying that the creator of the universe has a personal relationship with me. I know him and he knows me, I guess it is something that can’t be explained very easy, it just has to be experienced.
I've never seen Del's Articles in Full Cry, but I've read his acknowledgement to God in his book, and I’ve read his version of the “Word of God” on his website, here’s a link:
http://www.callofthehounds.com/the_word.htm you should check it out! I’m thankful for guys like Del who aren’t afraid to stand up and tell people the truth.
If I could offer one bit of encouragement for the day I would like to remind you all of Hebrews 10:23-25:
23Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. I hope that you all have a fellowship of believers you can meet with to encourage one another towards love and good deeds, as iron sharpens iron. It’s tough down here on this earth, but it’s a lot easier to build your relationship with God and bear fruit for him when you’ve got a group of encouragers!
BEARHUNTER, our prayers are with you and your dad.

The response to my question has been awsome. The response has been from coast to coast. It is a great feeling knowing that one is not alone in his faith. Sometimes I think the term "Christian" is thrown around loosely with people not really knowing what a Christian is. It is obvious that the people standing up and standing firm on this thread know what it is all about. A relationship indeed it is. A relationship with a living and loving God through His son Jesus Christ who is still in control. I encourage all of you believers to not forsake the gathering of believers. Find fellowship wherever you can. I hunt with a Christian and we have a great time. "Bear Hunter" I am praying for your dad's salvation.

So if anyone reading these posts is wondering, what are these guys talking about, ask someone how Christ has changed their life. You wont get preached at or or looked down on, but they will tell you how accepting Him will make a difference that you cant get with anything else. And its free!

RM, its not fullishness, all this earthly stuff is just dust. The only real thing is salvation. This post means something to me cause I've been wondering if spending so much time with dogs trying to conquer the land and beasts is a sin. Should I not be serving God in some more meaningful way? That question has been on my mind lately as I spend five or six days a week with my dogs. Yet as I tried to move myself into other servitude functions the call of the hounds and the mountain beconned me. And I surrendered to that call because I have been led there. And here I am sharing Christian brotherhood with you all. And this Saturday I'm taking an eleven year old boy, Thomas, with me hunting because he begged his parents to be a hunter and they knew of me. I may be finding a way to lead and follow the Lord through these hounds. For sure I've learned things man can not teach from them already. And thank you all for barking treed at the Cross.

i believe God can use any activity for his glory. as we say at church your not there because you wanted to its because you had a devine appointment. place does not matter when it comes to sharing the gospel. if one soul is saved from hell because of your hounds then it has served Gods purpose. i believe God will bless anything you do as long as he is first in all things you do. i can proudly say our whole hunting group are christians and making sure we are done hunting and rested for church on sunday is very important to our group.

007pennpal. God can use you in the woods just as well as He could in a church building. You not only have the opportunity to show a young man about the hunting heritage of this nation but you will also have the opportunity to share Christ with him. Deciding where we spend eternity is the most important dicision we will ever make in our lives, yet it is one that a lot of people put off until it is too late. I know that God will use you in some way to make a difference in someones life. "Barking treed at the cross", I like that. a great way to look at it. Guy

So I took eleven year old Thomas tagging along with me. Because of this post I was thinking aboout being a positive influence on Thomas, so I paused to pray with Thomas. We ended up having a great time and Thomas saw his first cougar.
