I have a profile of the dog I lost "Lily" on our website if you want to check her out. Not much of a memorial for a great Bear Dog but it is something.

My two main dogs are 8 and they are some of the last of the ray jones blood. my partner has a littermate to mine and she is the best cat dog he has ever owned. my male is the same. very cold nosed where we may trail a bobcat for 2 hours on dry ground then jump it and tree it. i also know other dogs from the litter that are guys main bear dogs. i dont know if this litter was a freak litter but there is some good in there thats for sure. i would like to find someone in washington state that has ray jones stock.

Rooster there aint to much of rays stock around if any. Last time i seen ray he was hunting some cross breed curs but back in the day he did have some bad a#$ plotts. From my experiance von plott blood was awesome. the best bobcat and lion dog i ever hunted with and owned was out of a von plott male of leo bruces and a feamale that dave larue owned. iam a walker man but i would take 5 more of her if i could have her agin, she was killed by a hog in oaklahoma at 9 years old.

The main reason i don't own plotts anymore is the lack of nose. I have never seen or laid my hands on a real cold nosed plott. Had a few alright dogs but never the caliber talked about in ol timers stories. I am a firm believer that that caliber of plott is a thing of the past. Jmo

I'm runnin White Hollow and Crockett and Blackwater bred dogs here in N.Nevada on lion, they do fairly well, but I think there brain out weighs there nose, I havent really had any other lines. They seem to have a fairly hot nose on'em. I'm new into the lion huntin, I've poked around with it before but mostly just stumbled on'em been mostly a hog hunter and those lines really shine when it comes to hogs and bear, I'll let you know in about ten years, I figure thats when I can call my self a lion hunter. But so far they have done ok on snow, I'll try'em this summer on dry ground, I think I'm gonna have alot of long uneventful nights ahead of me for the first few summers up here. I would like to try one of those Dollin bred dogs, anyone have any pups or young dogs you want to part from?

I have the Kamphouse breeding and he has a medium nose, but, he is extremely fast. Probably the fastest track dog I have ever owned. I have owned trigg running dog crosses that couldn't stay up with my kamphouse dog. He was a early starter and bays and trees awesome.
