When you guys say you like your running dog and treed dog crosses what percentage of each works well to get a balanced hound. I would think like 1/4 running dog and 3/4 tree dog. Also do you think it makes difference which way you cross them like a female running walker to a male treeing walker. Or a female treeing walker to a male running walker.
I've been tossings the idea around of breeding my good treeing walker female to my friend running walker. He doesn't run him on bobcats but he does run coyotes and fox. We have run him on grey fox and he will run and tree them and trees pretty good, aslo he's coldnosed, and gritty with lots of speed.
Just seeing what you guys thought.
Thanks
