My favorite hunting rig is a buddy's truck. I prefer it to be a new crew cab full size in whatever version he likes. It might get stuck a bit more because I always ensure he can make it through that, but we get by. :D

For bear hunting I like a little truck. It is like an overgrown wheeler and it's small so you can only fit one freeloader in there. I think a big truck works better for winter hunting, you can stuff a sled in there and be good to go. I personally like flat beds for hunting trucks, but they have their downfalls when doing other stuff with them.

I'm surprised you like flatbeds Nolte as you have to take extra time to strap the beer cooler down. With a regular box, just throw in back - no extra hassle! :beer

I have a customized cooler rack on the top of my box. Works like a charm and it's closer than walking back by the tailgate. Plus it keeps short people out of my stash. I wouldn't want to contribute to the deliquency of minors. :D
