I just bought 2 pallets of diamond high energy for $18.99/ bag. It goes for $19.99 but tractor supply will give you $1.00 off per bag if you buy a pallet or more. The retriever high pro was the same price when I ordered the diamond. It's on sale now for $17.99 so you could get it for $16.99 if you buy a pallet. It's pretty good dog food too. I like it better than the purina high pro and so do the dogs.

try your local butcher shops for bones. i haul two trash cans of bones from the butcher twice a week and give to the dogs i also feed black gold brand dog food free choice ( meaning all they can eat) with the fat and meat off the bones i only go through one fifty pound bag a month on seven dogs. they do great on the bones and meat scraps. dogs love it so much they hardly touch there food now. only down fall is picking up old bones to add fresh ones.

Devin,
let me know what day and time you will be going through Duchesne and I will see if I can work it out so I could meet you. What is the cost per bag?
Bad moon, I think I will have to start doing something like that, the price of dog food and gas to hunt is killing me.

It is 16.99 a bag plus tax. I think it ends up about 18.25 a bag

kk, i promise it works the food money i save allows me to hunt more.. i run on a tight budget and this cuts food costs way down. dogs do way better i run them hard year around even if just only exersizing and they do way better. butchers are happy to give away scraps it saves them trips to the dump.

Devin,
If you are going to SLC I could have my friend pick some up, if I can not meet you. I would like to buy about 5 or 6 bags. let me know.
Thanks
Bad moon,
What bones do you feed, are they bones that have been cut with a saw, or just the bigger bones. I have a friend that is a butcher. I feed some fat but in small amounts. But have stayed away from bones because of the sharp edges after being cut with a saw.

bigger beef bones like the leg bones with tendons. any thing bigger with tendons fat or meat on them. small amounts go a logs way. it looks like they would starve on the little bit left on the bones but they dont. pork can give dogs worms way easy stay away from pork. if your friend is a butcher it should be easy they throw away lots of bones.
