 I've had good luck with a Leopard dog and a cross I was told was bluetick and Blackmouth--both make good family dogs and are polite enough for my kids--we can bring either along for a walk--boy walks the male unleashed(lep) I have hunted deer on backcountry backpack trip and brought the cross with me with her own pack unleashed and shot deer with her at heal(unleashed) she will even bloodtrail some for you--and seems to know the difference for she isn't trashy--I would recomend a Cur dog or Cur cross--if they do have a hotter nose it can be worked around. Maybe best say to not get peoples backs up that they are cold enough nosed to catch game--I have had real good luck with them
And at least once embarassed a Walker dog that was "Wicked Cold Nosed" LOL

Can it cure the ill and allow the blind to see, too? How about make the lame walk and raise the dead? ;-) Ya'll make we want to just go shoot my hounds because all they do is hunt. I may have to come hunt with some of these messiah dogs. I want to see some GOOD one is action.

I'll have to admit that last post was pretty funny.

I've had a few curs, got one right now in fact. I'll see how he turns out. I've never got a Good one, but have a seen a couple that were lights out. But then again that's just like any other type of dog.

Doubt it will do much but here's some pics---they have treed bear no pics.Wouldn't call them great bear dogs--or perhaps I should say rather I need a couple more. Both have treed cougar single the lep is better than the cross-The female packed spotter, axe and loins of mnt goat last fall on a solo backpack trip--I'm not Bullshitting.
