Yep that Cap and Trade Has me worried .. My Elect Bill is already around $320 per month and I'am guessing it will go to around $450 with the Program ..
I mite be checking into a small Desiel Gen .. I think I maybe able to make the Elect Cheeper.. I 'am making a Solar hot water collector on the Roof soon..

Steve,
A friend of mine went totally solar and off the grid for $20k inc. propane fired gen. set.
He says that getting off the grid was the best thing he ever did.

I think I could ride down the Interstate one night and Fill a Pick-up with Solar Panels !! LOL
Theirs a Huge one not far from me its about 8'x10' with a Sun Tracking System ...
You know 20K is'nt bad at all !! And with that Cap and Trade Bill I think they made Solar Converision Totaly Tax Deductable..

That's exactly what they do in Africa! African could not believe that ours are not behind razor wire or even locked.

solar power is a great idea, but as of right now it is not far enough along to be efficent. Oh and you are paying for other people to use solar power, because you are taxed on it.
