Yes Liontracker my friend
Adrian had one. As you can imagine it is on the consigned to sell list. There is a limit to cutting weight and useful tools. This one isn't for the hunter. Maybe ok for Grandma laying in bed waiting for the boogie man. Hell she is deaf and numb already.
Pegleg.
Most astute observations, and very well put. I appalude your explaination.
I support your resolve for the excellent 44 Rem. Mag. AS WE KNOW THE PHRASE.
A MAN NEEDS TO KNOW HIS LIMITATIONS

Mine is my Kimber Ultra Tactical II jsut like the Ultra carry but with DigiCamo crimson trace grips and a few other things like trigger and so forth, but pretty much the same gun with a differant paint job. LOL. Then #2 would be my Ruger New model Super BlackHawk chambered in 44 Rem Mag.

three rivers....Those Crimson trace grips sure are cool huh!? My Kimber Ultra Carry II came with them as well as the glow in the dark sights. I ended up taking the grips off so I could put on the damascus ones we made...but, you do feel kinda cool at the range ripping them down range with the red dot on the terrorist target!

Bigboarstopper and LBell ya'll have my vote too. I'm a 41mag guy as well, mine is in the Smith but I'll take it in a ruger too. Your right with the propper reloading I like it better than the 44. You get better balistics and better penatration with a lot less recoil. It is also a very accurate round and easy shooting. We've been loading the 41 with 10gr of BlueDot and a 220gr swc. What a pleasure to shoot. Goes right through a whitetail deer too. Good enough for me and fun for around the ranch. However you have lots of room to climb because thats loaded down pretty good.

Yeah I like the Tritium night sights, I found some for my Marlin 1895 Guide gun, you cant beat'em in low light or no light situations. And that laser is pretty cool too, I like the pistol cause of it's weight and it's just so easy to carry and it's still just enough to make a big boar think twice about eatin you up if your rifle failed I'm going to get the Springfeild Ultra Compact 9mm for the wife's carry pistol, she's OK with the 45's recoil but she likes the 9mm's recoil alot better. I wasn't all that happy with my 41 I had I like my 44 better, but like said in the other post, with the right loads I guess it would be OK I know it moves faster, but I like the big hurt 320 grainers I load in my 44 mag for pigs. But when push comes to shove my 45-70 Govt loaded with 405 grain semi-jacketed Flatnose bullets does it all on anything LOL

Let me tell you a story about Shorty and that .41! We were riding down a sendera horseback and a 5 ft. rattler slithered away right in front of Shorty's horse He whipped that old horses head around drawed and fired in one fluid motion and that .41 spit 17 inches of flame. LOL Hit that snake about 5 inches behind the head!
Right then I started calling him MISTER!! LOL

Yeah, I'd imagine the ol' 45-70 would suffice!

On the bear hunting we do I use the 44 Rem Mag. My son however has been using the 454 Casul since it first became popular. He also does his own reloading for both of us .he shoots competitively and is quite proficient .However accurate you may be if you can not keep your nerves intact when you are trying to get between a bayed bear and your hounds the point is worthless. It also amazes me to see how many hunters do NOT know the internal anatomy of the critter you are hunting. reguardless of what caliber you are shooting accuracy and placement is always key. Not trying to hi-jack your thread sorry about that

No Bob thats true, that is one reason I dont use my pistol alot, I reload all my ammo for every thing I shoot, and I shoot alot, but I'm better with my rifles then with any of my pistols, and that's were alot of guys get into trouble, is when they think there better then they are with their pistol. I'm confiedent I can kill with my 44 mag or even with any of my 1911's( I dont hunt with a 45 ACP at least not four legged foe!) But I am way more comfortable with my rifles. Oh and Brady I was thinking of my cusins Custom Tactical II when typeing last night my Kimber is the Ultra Covert II with the 3in barrel and the other Kimber I have is the Full size Covert II.
