That is a brilliant idea! Indeed, there is power in numbers. Seems there is a club in each state... now, if we could all join together as one big organization... Granted, we'll always need our small clubs too but a national one would be helpful in times like these.

Lol! Me neither!

Outlaw 13-- As I'm sure you know, no, the HSUS doesn't care less about animals... Less than 1% of their funds go towards animal shelters. For them it's ALL about stripping people's rights away. It's all one big power play. They have GOT to be stopped! And unless they are stopped, fighting them will never end.

Lets get it done, PM me your club info, I'll be getting with our CHC management on Monday at the California State Capital and we will start talking, I know we have talked about this before and the time is right to get this done! In dealing with our Senate reps for SB1221 we are see more and more how important the strenth in numbers gets there attention, you guys tell me what kind of requirements would we need to have in place, would you need to be in your locale club?, the reason I ask is I know here for SB1221 there are a lot of houndsmen that are out of the loop because they are not involved in there local or state clubs and are not getting to the current updates on our fight. We need to get organized and get a good net work system inplace.

California budget crisis: $16 billion in the red California's budget deficit has swelled to a projected $16 billion — much larger than had been predicted just months ago — and will force severe cuts to schools and public safety if voters fail to approve tax increases in November, Gov. Jerry Brown said Saturday

This shows just how smart the State of California administration really is. Take something that's profitable to the state like hound hunting and turn it into more bet.

I live on the north coast and have been hunting with hounds for close to twenty years. In that time I have hunted for three different timber companies and have aided hunters in removing over 600 bears. I asked all three for help when this bill came out. Only one, Barnum Timber, answered the call and wrote a letter. The other two told me that they are not going to get publicly involved because they are under enough pressure from enviros as it is. Also I asked humboldt county supervisors for help, they don't want to get involved either. My friends and I have been doing our best with letters, signatures and phone calls. We are doing our best to hammer Noreen Evans. After the last two senate commitee meetings, and reading the posts that others have talked about going on the offense instead of being on the defense, I have been thinking long and hard for a solution. We all know Dan Noyes isn't going to do us proper justice, so what about contacting real investigative reporters that would like to hear the truth and expose the hsus as well as the corruption from our democratic senators? Some that come to mind are Bill O'Rielly, Dateline or 20/20. This is the only way I see putting enough pressure on our legislature to stop this bill

Thanks for all you have done and contacting Senator Evans she is a key Senator, as far as getting a reporter to look into these lieing bastards HSUS, Bill O'Rielly is on there list of contributers, unbelievable, I did E-mail him and asked "what the hell" I'll post when I get a response.

Humboldt,

CHC-COHA-USSA has been trying to get some newspapers and other forms of media to run a story about the facts about hound hunting and lies spread by the HSUS. Its been a complete roadblock because all the news media and newspapers are so far to the left. But at the same time if the HSUS says a word they cant wait to get their pens to paper. The media is so one sided its sick!

CHC has sent out a special information bulletin to all its members (The Track & Trail Tribune) explaining our future tactics on getting our voice heard.

People its not over, we still have a lot of fight, stay strong, and trust me when I say that hound hunters are being represented by some smart, hard working individuals, that are hound hunters themselves. They have as much to lose as anyone else. CHC-COHA-USSA and Local State Clubs are working long hours to see that we fight tooth and nail to win this senate bill.

Just remember that we may have to call on all hound hunters to rally at the state Capital building without much notice. Sorry its that way but its the way we are being railroaded around. They know we got thousands of hound hunters that are willing to drive across the state at a moments notice to stand up and fight for our rights as Free Americans to hunt our hounds. Our large presents has definitely got their attention.

Has anyone heard from Dan Noyes? I was kind of hoping his absence on this site was due to his work on a real story concerning the total fleecing of good hearted Americans by the HSUS and how they are tied to the political aspirations of our fine liberal politicians through their donations. Just a little more information, even though I know you will never even consider doing a story showing the true face of this group. This list of web sites and information took me about ten minutes to look up and is not all you can find in regards to HSUS. You think environmental terrorism is not a part of HSUS? Take a look.

Something I talked about on another thread . Is there a national houndsmen group for lobbying for us. With all the houndsmen of the usa and canada we have good numbers in the west it seems as everyone belongs to little clubs and organizations . If we had one parent clubs for all. this fight it might be more effective.

Maybe we could take this great idea one step forward ?
could we form a (Western US to start and then expand across the country) Sporting dog group that serves all hunting dog owners.
if we could the number of members could be huge and we would have real power, money and clout.
Everyone that hunts needs to stick together and fight this war one battle at a time, could you imagine the respond such a group would create in Sacramento or elsewhere? we would crash their system! with calls, email, faxes and letters.
maybe we start with your idea and
try to expand into this, upland bird, waterfowl, small game, big game,a united sporting dog action group that works together and serves everyone's interest, just a thought!
I'll help in anyway possible
i might be dreaming i know but what the heck
