Mike,
...all I saw was that the Democratic senators are voting along party lines and i doubt if that will change.
That wasn't true with the Senate vote. We pulled the key Democrats from voting Yes, but unfortunately Republican Tony Strickland split from his party and voted in support of the bill.
We need to let all these people know that their senators, by voting for this bill will cause their taxes to go up because the state will have to pick up the bill for the cost of game management.
I would just about guarantee you that the passage of this bill will not result in a tax increase. Instead, DFG and other agencies will likely have to divert some of their limited resources towards bear depredation issues and other efforts/projects/responsibilities will suffer as a result.
I also think that we need to get to acting and take the fight to em. Let's set up a bank account for everyone of us to donate to and let's get this done and over with.
Such an account already exists. Please visit californiahoundsmen.com and click the Donate button at the bottom left of the screen.

was there any news from the NEXT STEP meeting in loma rica on whats next last night. Idaho here i come

Two quick things: Tuesday June 12 is the 2012 HSUS Humane Lobby Day at 1020 11th St. second floor, Sacramento. So feel free to cruise by with your dogs on the box and let them know that if the bill passes the HSUS and all their political minions (Lieu, Steinberg, etc.) will be exposed for the scum they are. Second I just watched the last Fish and Game Commission meeting where they discussed S.B. 1221, what a joke. Commissioner Rogers "abhors" hunting with hounds and this guy is on the Commission. Incredible. What does PeTA stand for? People eating or eliminating the activists. -Pete

Dont just attack the bill, work on the politicians. I called the NRA political victory fund about removing Senator Tony Stricklands "A" rating from the NRA. Everybody should call its a 1800 # .

Just a quick thought: If you fly the California state flag along with an American flag at your home or work place, fly the state flag upside down. California is in a state of distress and the fact that our state flag has a grizzly on it and has its' origin in the "Bear Flag revolt makes it even a more powerful statement. -Pete

http://dfw.state.or.us/wildlife/managem ... 012b_X.pdfTo those who want to view this link, It is the 2012 Oregon Dept. Fish & Wildlife's Black Bear Management Plan
It shows a 300% increase in attacks on people after the Oregon dog pursuit ban. It also shows that after the dog pursuit ban was in effect, a 2129% increase of bears that were taken because those bears were threatening people or the pets of people.
This is essential data that should be relayed to Assembly members.
