Ran regular Duracells all summer/fall and lithiums this winter and no problem with the Marshalls so far, and it gets real , well.....COLD here.

Well i went ahead and bought a marshall tracking collar,and put my Tri tronics G-2 on the collar also.I have been testing the treeing switch with the dog and every time the dog looks up it seems to work great.I like the idea of having both units on one strap.Anybody else also using this method .I have been a johnson collar owner for the last 8 years and havent had a problem.But i think i will like this set up

I've been running this identical setup for 2 years, and it works great with one fault... The collar loop on the G2 next to the locator has a lot of presure on it and will break sooner or later... I have a 6 dog, all set up this way & at present 3 are broken... I still use them that way tho.

Thanks jeff for the info.I have had the thin pieces of plastic also break on my tri tronics before.I sent them back and they sent me a new one they told me that they have changed the mold.so that the new g-2 are supposed to be stronger and not so apt to break. I hope so. Glad to hear your happy with this set up.

WTF, the same thing happened to me and Tri told me I had to buy a new collar (at a discount price though). They must like you more than me.

Was yours still under warrenty mine was. Maybe that is why

I have broke two receivers now and tri tronics have replaced them both for free. I just had to send the broken ones back but they even paid for the shipping of that.

I have a maxima tracker 5000/25 and it works great and is very small and easy to use.

I too had 3 of the plastic pieces break ( on different collars) on the Tri Tronics 6 dog set of collars I have.

They replaced them absolutly free. 2 were under warranty and the other was just out of warranty.

They make them out of a little heavier plastic now.

I got big dogs with big necks they can handle having 4 collars on if needed. LOL kinda funny the big boys have 4in wide collars and they still have room for 2 other collars.
How many of you guys shocked the wrong dog I seen it happen many times LOL. even after the person shocked the dog 3 times and realized he shocked all his dogs except for the dog that was doing something wrong

in the pic it looks like the lights on the collar are in the front so would you have to put the collar in front of the other collars to see the light. because i like havin my tracking collar behind the regular collar and shocking collar and it seems like if you do that then your regular collar and shocking collar would block the light.

Corbin there are also a led light on each side of the collar which give of alot of light. I put mine on behind my e collar and in front of teh reg. collar. because when the dog is hunting (head down) the front light really does no good anyway.

I have been using my marshall collar all season now and it defiantly gets a better signal than my johnsons,Lots of times i cant beep my johnsons but i can beep my marshall.I do like the light on it i turn it on and it can be seen for a long distance away.

the LED lights are very bright nice to have

i love mine also like the fact should i ever want 2 chance collar numbers i could just send it in and they can change it
