They did come from his litters, but they were all born in Europe. Then two years later he moved back to Africa and took the whole kennel with him.

The Gascon Saintongeois and the Porcelain are two distinctly different breeds.
I don't think a visual in person is at all necessary to tell the difference. The GS stands 27" to 28" tall and the Porcelain stands 22" to 23" tall for starters. (Max. official breed standards.) Also, maybe one Porcelain in 200 will have the conformation of a GS.

Let me go back and look to remember what breeds were used to recreate the Porcelain.

Oh yeh, here we go:

Crosses were performed with Harriers Grey Somerset, the Gascon-Saintongeois, hounds on the Swiss border and Billys.

Hmm okay thank you for clerfying things. This is starting to feel too much like an argument though so I'm just going to leave this all alone. Like I said before I was just curious.

But until an archive search in Texas turns something up...I believe I am also.
