That is so true, especially when I started hunting before any telemetry. When the dogs were gone, and you know they were most likely treed somewhere, just didn't know where to start looking. A guy would sure do some serious listening as that was the only chance you had. Remember one dog the old guy had, when he was "just barely out of hearing" he sounded like a dove cooing. I headed out to that dog many times only to realize that I was again going to a bird.
