MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
Put the crack pipe down and step away, there is no chance on earth that the FWP is going to allow the use of poison on wolves, if they want to keep a season on them and have the feds step back in. Like Larry said get yourself some MB-750s, some power snares, and a Ecaller. There are plans on the internet for E callers using a mp3 player, a lawn tractor battery and a handfull of things from radio shack.

I don't have the crack pipe anymore I gave it back to you last week. When I said poison I was talking about the sweet tooth poison. The kind FWP and no one else is ever gonna allow but it works great. Better than any other method you mentioned. Never heard of the E caller but I will look into it. Thanks for the ridicule and the advice. Although I think the advice part is more advantageous.

Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
WOW is all I can say. Hard to argue with that news article. Time for Montanan's to stand together as a whole and stop the pissing match. Montanan's are the ones that need to fight for our game animals, not organizations from other states. Especially not organizations with such a bad history of screwing the little guy. The best hunters I know are all real people who could never afford a big money hunt, like the kind that Sportman for Wealthy want. If we want our game managed properly we need to voice our concerns and not put all of our eggs in the hands of a few people with greedy intentions.

Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
It is NOT a news article. It is an opinion article written by a board member of a sportsmen's group that has done nothing to fight this wolf mess. The guy has never met with anyone from the Montana SFW. I am just sick and tired of it all, someone else can take up the fight. I will continue to do what I do while I am out in the field to protect our deer and elk. If people really want to do something to get the fish and game to listen, then we all band together and noone buys a deer, elk, or any hunting or fishing licenses for one year. Who is willing to do that? I did last year, the only thing I bought was a conservation and hound handlers permit so I was legal to be in the woods.

Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
All I know is I don't like the way things are being ran in Montana with our game. I don't know probably half of what Casey or a lot of other guys know on here. But I am willing to work together with who ever wether we have differences or not to increase our impact on FWP and the general public to have a manageable healthy population with lions bears, and the ungulates. If someone has information on who to support in Montana to get something done I am all ears and will very much appreciate it. MSFW was the only one I have came across that seemed to be fighting the battle. I am just like the rest of you and want to kill these damn wolves and manage a healthy lion population. I appreciate sarcasim as much as anyone else on here does so lets drop that and figure out a solution that benifits us all.

Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
Bigblues,
You are right, we all need an organization that we can work with. Maybe we need to look at the houndsmen in the state and figure a way to get organized. Typically houndsmen alone have little pull. I spoke with the vice president of MT SFW and asked for an official stance on the lion and wolf quota for the state, I am awaiting a reply.
I think it is good for all of us to agree, but just as importantly to disagree too. There is always two sides to the coin and some hearty debate never hurt any topic as long as we all can keep it proffesional ( I can struggle this because Sarcasm is my middle name!
) . Let's work together for the betterment of our sport but never apologize for having a different point of view. Casey

Sounds good to me.
Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
While this is an opinion article, is anyone disputing the information contained in it? Best of luck with whatever direction you boys take but I would take a long hard look before I put my support behind sfw.....

There are several things I could refute but I might as well talk to the wall. For the most part, no one is intersted in hearing the MT SFW side on here and that is fine. But I'm not gonna spend my time writing it up for folks who really don't care or won't even consider both sides. Casey

Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
Still waiting for someone to give me some info. on a group to support that is willing to put it all out there battling these damn wolves. MONTANA SPORTSMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE is the only ones I see. This post has had so many MSFW antis with no solution. I would think that if you are educated enough to make a call like this on MSFW than you would have a group or org. to back it up. As for you Utah guys I think your problems in Utah are vastly different than ours. Give me some good factual info. instead of some numb nutted opinion from some radical. I would appreciate every bit of info. I can get. Thanks
Re: MONTANA SPORTMEN FOR FISH AND WILDLIFE
Bigblues, If you have a copy of MSFFW, could you send me a copy. My address is on my web sight. I would like to check them out. Thanks Steve
