That's funny Mike. I didn't think you were there for along time , then I seen your wife's name on one of the purses my wife donated. So it took me awhile to figure out which person was you.
Hopefully I can make the gathering. Last year it was on my daughters birthday. I really want to introduce my dad to Al and you. And hopefully I can meet many southern guys

That same thing happened in California, my wife bid on a purse and her name was called out, Dale T. got to looking and figure out where I was sitting and he and wife Cindy come over and introduced themselves....Something good about a purse I guess! Hope you guys can make it. You are welcome if you need a stop over location along the way at our place, we have plenty of room for all and all are welcome!
Al.
Please don't take me serious....As you figured out, I'm passionate about our hunting rights....Back in 1994 when the ban hit, I left Oregon and traveled around in a state of shock...Looking back two decades later? I think I'm living the dream and do things differently than most....We come into this world with nothing and we leave with nothing....I plan on leaving this world with nothing.
I'm possibly the biggest hypocrite on planet earth, I knock environmental activism and thank it for making me see life beyond hound hunting in Oregon. Prior to the ban I hunted with a guy that hunted several years with the Lee Brothers and for years he tried to convince me to drive to Tucson and meet Dale Lee in person....Well that day passed when Dale left this old world....It hit me when I drove my buddy over to meet with another one of the last of the remaining crew to hunt in Mexico with the Lee's....
Had we also not been banned? I never would have made my way to British Columbia and all the cool stuff I managed to get in across the border, Filming television would never happen if not for this hound site and meeting Doug right here? What do you think those odds were? What would the odds be of bringing Wounded Warriors from the US to Canada(that still pisses me off, we honor our American Service members in another Country because we can't hunt here) I am friends with the previous guide in the area Doug bought.....
Friendships have been made and I'm glad to have met you in person last year. One thing that is a given, we are in deep trouble in this world and bickering amongst ourselves isn't going to change it none. Look at the Gathering and how fortunate we were to meet Mr. Finney Clay and one year later? He too has left us.....Take the time and go do something, anything before it is too late! Enjoy the ride because things are never going to change for the better for any of us...I know what I would do? I would get the heck out of Coos County while I could!
Take Care!
