Rose, JC and I hunted 20 to 21 hours id say. Of that only like 2 or 3 hours was rigging the rest was roading and walk hunting. Thanks for the kind words. She was tired by the end of it, went to the local bar and grill and bought her own meal. I normally don't do that but for the effort she put out I felt she had earned it. Some folks might think that she was a cull or just you can't bring a snow dog to the west side but Rodney proved the later wrong. I'm pretty mentally discouraged at the moment, I figured I would at least get some trailing in but never did.

The discription of my hunt, Brad and JC began with Rodney and I flipping for the flir in the truck and then later flipped for choice of area to hunt. I won both flips and choose a place I had been before on my trips there before.

We roaded the first area out, Rodney had made a tree but couldn't confirm it and took a small power nap expecting to see The other crew come up but they didn't. We went to the second area and roaded it out, this whole time JC was telling me where they ran or started or treed cats. Seemed to me like nothing moved. Went to brads house and got a nap in. During which Rodney treed one. Rose was a little sore footed so we rigged her up the second area again, and walked out into a good area that JC had told me to walk out. It was a ways in but the area had a lot of good sign. Afterwards we went and turned in for the night to get a good morning hunt in and rest her up. Roaded out area one then rigged area two. She was done though by 11:30

Lilly fell out of the first tree and tore her puss! We put a couple staples in her along with some anti-biotic. She had a slight limp but was OK, (?)

What? She fell out of a tree? Meaning she was in the tree?

One of the old roads we had seen cat tracks on Sat. afternoon had a female and yearling Cougar tracks in our tracks Sunday morning. Lilly could have ran em but Rodney stopped her. :)
Yes! The tree had low limbs.

Rodney climbed up the tree a ways dropped his light came down I gave him the light and he climbed to the Top but couldn't find it. Some long limbs reached into other trees but we never seen any eyes. Lilly was sure enuff she climbed??
She was in the tree when we got there!!!

Rodney and Thomas, great job!! You never know until you go. Not many brave enough to put they're dogs on the line in strange country in competition. Thomas, this wasn't Rose's weekend. She has kicked ass on so many stages, she's got you spoiled to winning and catching. A great hound.

Brad thanks for a great weekend. I enjoyed every minute of it, we had all the chances we needed and came up short. But we gave it hell and had a good time doing it!
