I too am waiting for some snow in my better bobcat areas it snowed a little bit but everything just melted away last 24 hours so I just been running lions up in The higher elevations. Conditions are the difference between the men and the boys. I guess I'm still in the boy club because it's pretty tough for bobcats here . But having a blast any way!! I will keep checking in. I thought it was a monthly contest, our deer hunters are still in the woods for another week or two so I only planned on entering January and February. I rarely hunt cats till the swamps are frozen so I don't need chest waders to keep with the chase. Even big cats stay up on thin ice and dogs breaking through can't keep the heat on em. I've been to catches on muskrat houses or willow clumps wet to my tits to know it will get better. Getting a hound drowned is very real here.
Side note: enough grit in your breeding program??Image
He will be six months end of January hope to get some track time on this litter this winter even though young they will know the routine by our bear season

Devon in Montana sent me his entry. Looks like 29.80 # on the digital scale. Devon indicated he has treed two bobcats, not a d start into his 21 day season.Image

Well I went out yesterday and I found 12 different bobcat tracks in the snow that is about 20 miles of driving around and two lions.everything I found was old and all the southside are burned off. But I had to try at least one track so I picked the biggest of the bunch and turned out my 10 hounds that I had with me. And we started grinding the track out hoping to get it jumped. But not a chance it was some good cold nose training for some of my younger up-and-coming dogs "Though '"we were on the mountain for over two hours and I was the one that gave UP not the hound dogs. It was taco night at the Morgans ok!! Timothy Morgan

Well my buddy Marshall caught this huge beautiful bobcat in Oregon yesterday . He didn't enter the contest and we didn't get an official weight of this bobcat but he sure is a dandy. What a beautiful bobcat congratulations I had to show it off ..
