Yea, it was kinda beneath me to slap that old man around az. I'l try to do better in the future. If he's getting some money out of those pups which helps him through his retirement, then that's just great. May he sell all the pups his bitches can drop............hope so!

damn, im gunna have to write a book and then start sellin pups!, until then i guess il just give them to the guys i hunt with and the kids who want to start huntin. I have no experience with dels dogs or many blueticks for that matter so i guess i cant talk but to me its definately not about making money when you get some pups on the ground, its about getting some more troops for next season! now i wouldnt give away any dog out of my pack unless there was some money involved but with pups you can look at it 2 ways, there all culls until proven worthy or they are superstars until proven useless, depends on the guy who owns them i guess.

a sucker is a sucker. No matter who they buy their dogs from. There is a guy in Scottsdale Arizona selling cameron pups for $800. The parents don't even hunt. They must think they are buying the Lexus of Toyota.

ike im not one of the "ike haters" but you really make yourself look stupid with alot of your posts. You do have alot of good posts whith good helpful info when people ask certian questions but you always seem to talk about how no one has better dogs than you and how great they are. Im sure you have good dogs but no one really cares and you have made a fool of yourself so many time there is not alot of merit to anything you say any more.

I suppose all of us look pretty damn stupid posting the things we do on these boards, and you are certainly in that crowd AZ(dogman). Sorry but I don't believe your line about not being an "ike hater" or you'd stay to topic rather than start an argument with me. Perhaps you should look deeply into why you made you last post against me. If you disagree with my comments on the cameron hounds you should tell us all why you do, rather than call me a fool or stupid. What you've really done is just show me that you are foolish and/or stupid. Or perhaps you just don't know how to rebut my opinion on those blue dogs..........

Thanks for the input az_gogetem, cause I'd sure be unhappy if I paid $800 bucks for a pup that came out of two parents that "don't even hunt." I'm sure there are alot of good blue dogs out there that have came from the cameron stuff, but no more or less than any other bloodline. I'll still say the man behind making a set of hunting dogs from pups gets more credit than the man who bred those pups, but those pups do need to come from hounds and not poodles or something. Just my opinion.

not sure what i have posted that made me look stupid. I have nothing against you it just seems you always brag yourself up all the time. Im not trying to start an argument and i assure you i have no agenda against you. I agree that 1000 bucks is alot of money for a pup and i would never spend that but if there is a list then i guess some people do so to each their own.

and as far as getting off topic how did a post talking about pup prices end up with you challenging del to come prove his dogs with you. Oh yeah and i guess you also (bitched slapped ) him as well. Not quite on topic

Well I know one thing for sure. Del sells alot of pups apparently, are they worth $1000.00 $1200.00? Guess that depends on the one hunting them. I have only hunted around a Cameron bred dog one day. She didn't do nothing. Am I gonna base one dog one time out on the entire strain? Heck no. Would I try a Cameron Bred dog? Sure if I was in the market. Ain't got the $ he's asking for a pup, but thats beside the point.
I started reading Dels book once....a friend had one. I hate reading and couldn't stay interested. Would I rag on the book? Heck no.....I'm sure there is a huge amount of info in any book that a guy like Del or someone with his experience has written.
Everyone of us likes something a little different in a hound. I'm sure I wouldn't like alot of others dogs as they too would not like mine. I ain't got nothin fancy.....don't make crosses, just hunt with pups out of stuff that works for me. I've hunted with alot of different people and its fun to watch how differently each one likes things or dislikes different things about dogs. Thats what makes this and other sports unique. WE DON'T HAVE TO like others dogs and they DON'T HAVE TO like ours. If they work for us....thats all that matters. I don't make videos or write books to sell..........more than likely never will, but I sure do like to go huntin....and if I can help out another guy with my very limited knowledge then that makes me feel pretty good. Let's go huntin and show OURSELVES how great our dogs are :D :D :D

Great post catman!!! That's the most sensible talk I've heard on here in a long time. I have seen two cameron hounds in the woods personally, and any of you would be proud to own either. I'm not going to comment on the price of Dels pups, but I will say the man sent me an autographed copy of his book, when I was going through cancer treatments and unable to hunt. I thought that was mighty white of him. carry on.

I already said earlier that I bought a pup from Del for $800 so y'all know where I stand on that issue, but it's really amazing how one man and his line of hounds can stir up so much shit.By the way, those are some nice looking dogs you have up on the rig Rigdogs.
