I do like your passion very much Mr. Pacojack- based on that alone I do believe Marshall does make a good collar. Jut go easy on us heathens. enjoy, Paul Conway.
I HAVE THE FIELD MARSHALL TRACKING SYSTEM WITH THREE 217 FREQUENCY COLLARS FOR 750 AND IT HASNT BEEN USED BUT ABOUT 20 TIMES. I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF THE COLLARS ARE THE NEW OR OLDER ONE THAT R $169. THE COLLARS I HAVE U SWIPE A MAGNET IN FRONT OF IT AND A GREEN LIGHT FLASHES WHEN ITS ON. JUST ONE LITTLE LIGHT U CAN BARELY SEE IT. R THESE THE OLD OR NEW COLLARS

If you can swipe the other side after you swipe the front and lights come on then they are the new ones with lights. But they also make the new ones without lights.

It is defiantly the old one. Reason the Lighted ones are $199. And the new one have a second light on the side of it. If your only light is under the frequency number then its the old style.

Hello all been awhile been really busy but been on from time and time to read the posting. Buddy was turned down for seed. Was hoping to come on up this winter at the cost of work. But no luck with that. :beer But I have been doing allot of :beer and my dogs are really really lazy. Need to get them out one of these weekends.

I was bit if a critic first with these collars. It seemed hard to pin-point your dogs since the signal is so powerful. Now, after using them (the newest model with the lights) all bear season and now lately varmint hunting. I will be buying a few more marshall collars and I will be selling my magnums. It just takes time and you need to learn your collars to get over the range they put off.

First off the conveinance of being able to change your collar batteries on your own is a plus. Then the 5-day warning that your batteries are near done with the blinking red lights/double beeps on the receiver is great. Not to mention if your varmint hunting with the lights on and the collars get low they will auto shut off the lights to conserve battery life.

Next, those lights are impressive. You can watch an entire fox race at night and watch those glowing collars down in the canyon.

They are built with a rugged design and they have not broken on me yet. I hog hunt my bear dogs and I have not had any collars get busted yet on hogs. Plus, they are lighter than any other collars I've used.

Lastly, to be able to not need magnets taped to your collars is great. Just a click of a magnet to turn it on or off as well as the lights on or off.

I think these are a great collar and I would suggest them to anyone.
