Count me in.

There are some very ungodly men in the crews with which I hunt. I'm not in their face over the issue, but they know where I stand on the issues and I'm always ready to state what and why I believe. That gets respect.

I believe that time spent in the hills is the emotional equivalent of good sleep for the body. It is sufficiently absorbing to give the mind and heart a rest from the issues and pressures if working life. I thank God for an interest so good that it's worth the hours of driving and the days spent standing in the rain for no return.

I also just found this post. Very impressed!! It makes me feel good to see that many Christian houndsmen out there.

He's my Lord and Savior! Was saved in 1963 at the age of 9.

It is encouraging to read about so many of you who are sharing their faith. About a month ago I was asked to officiate a memorial service for Dede Merritt who was my neighbor when I was a kid growing up. Dede was a wonderful woman and always took an interest in my activities. I was able to visit with Dede in her last days and was able to affirm her faith in Christ. Knowing that gave comfort to a lot of people. I was also able to share with those who attended her service, exactly what a Christian is and how to become one. It was the largest group of people I have ever spoken to (over five hundred). It was an honor and a privilege to have been asked to officiate, and it is my prayer that everyone who attended was as blessed as I was. Keep on sharing, you only have to plant one seed, and who knows when it might grow in someones life. Guy Landers

Traditional Catholic here. +

Our Children are home schooled, we attend Latin Mass every Sunday, on all Holy Days, and days of obligation.

We fast every Lent (40 days) and obstain from eating any meat on Friday.
And practice the sacraments. Prayers daily-Morning, evening and meals.
Rosary daily with children-9,7,3.

Its a demanding lifestyle but one of choice and sacrifice to please our Lord, and to obtain graces.
Ive read the Bible three times and continue to study as well.

I have my wife to thank, as it was a bad path I was on.
Glad to see others are GOD fearing Christians.

God first, family second; My life has changed for the better once I put God first. Imagine all that I have been missing all these years...

I have a relationship with my Lord and Savior now and things are much more clearer. If I place the kingdom of God First he will clear the path and things kinda fall into place... :D

I MADE MY PROFESSION OF FAITH IN 1988 IN DENVER COLORADO AT A YOUTH CONVENTION. I WOULD NOT BE WHERE I AM AT WITHOUT CHRIST. LIFE HAS ITS ROLLER COASTER RIDES OF GOOD AND BAD, BUT WITH THE TRUST IN THE LORD ANYONE THATS HAS FAITH IN CHRIST WILL CONQUER. PRAISE THE LORD FOR FELLOW HOUNDSMEN BELEIVERS

I love the post! I am Christian and feel peace that my soul is safe; however, I battle a daily struggle with discipleship. The guy that taught me to turkey hunt was not a man of God, and God always laid it on my heart to profess my faith to this man. He was 54 and I was 13. I never did share Christ with him and he died the next winter. 13 years later, that remains my biggest regret in life. Through the years, I have helped people know Christ, but it is the ones that I didn't or the ones that I might have pushed away from God that shames my soul. God is great, and I am glad to know that HE is ALWAYS in control!!!

You are a true Christian when you can answer the big question, "why do bad things happen to good people"? The term Christian means that you follow Christ. This also means bringing people to Christ when you can. Also living your life in a way that influences others. Envite someone to Church this weekend.

Count me in. I thank the Lord daily for all the many blessings he has bestowed upon me and my family. Mainly for my health that allows me to be able to hunt the way I do and enjoy the great outdoors he provided for us. I don't see how anyone could go to the mountains, look around and say ''there is no God''.

Been out of pocket a few days, but sure was glad to see such a post and the responses to it. I had my life changing experience with the Lord in 1994( I was a late bloomer). It changed the way I thought and shortly redirected the steps of my life. I am glad I know HIM.
