are u getting paid for these bear. i was talking to one of the tribe members down here the other night and they are paying a guy 1500.00 a bear to take 30 bears off my back yard. it was blm and they gave it to the coquille indian tribe about 5 years ago. bears are peeling the fir trees. wish i was making that money. they are snareing them , he said they caught one last week that was 450 that is huge for this time of year. i told him to let me bring dogs in there but they are keeping it within the tribe.

im not very happy that someone can do what i cant in my back yard. am i whineing? yes i am. keep after um wish i could. u have it pretty good up there.

No we dont have that problem here. Im in Central Washington, I know they give timber permits on the coast to people to get rid of some of the problem bears that are doing that to the trees. I just get the pleasure of seeing a bear up the tree and training a couple dogs. Wish I was getting $1,500/bear! You'd be talking to a rich man, lol. That would be disappointing to not be able to go run bears that are right in your back yard like that, especially since the state obviously notices there is a problem yet they wont open up bear hunting to you guys.

Nice Pics Jarred- this is the first time I have looked for your bear posts on here. Good work this season and good work with Tana!! She sure got her workout down there with you! I think she'll be ready to come back for "summer camp" next year too!
Whisper is finally showing- I hope she has a litter of 5-6...that would be about right.

Thanks Bart and Im sure she got a good work out! She was always willing to go though and a great dog to hunt. Im sure Whisper wont have many if it took so long to show, although she is small so its hard to say. They locked up enough so Im sure she will have at least 5. Hope Tana is healing up good, that got a little western there the last day!

haha- it sounded that way. Glad you were right there to take care of it! She's gonna be just fine, but is still pretty gimpy on that front end. She's laying around acting like a princess... What are you up to this season?
