Waycool yes this bear climbed the tree. Thanks for sharing the video jeff.I had a pretty decent day today treed 2 more today (sunday) nothing with any size tho. Heres a pic of one of the bears other bear is on my buddys camera. I forgot to bring my camera on first tree. The local game warden stopped when we were getting ready to walk into the tree and asked to walk in with us. He had never been in on a bear tree before. When we were back to the trucks he said he really enjoyed himself.

Well had a pretty good weekend treed a small 80 pounder yesterday about a 2 minute walk into the tree gotta love them
Today we started one,the dogs made quick work of it and treed pretty close to cornfeild. My 9 year old son (Jacob) just got his hunting license yesterday. I let him take this bear today he was very happy. He used a thompson contender with a 204 barrel on it.He didnt have alot of experience shooting a rifle so we used this smaller caliber gun and i was going to back him up with the bigger rifle.I didnt need to

he made a great shot right to the head and killed it instantly. The bear got hung up in the tree and we had to climb tree and push it out. This bear only weight in at 174lbs a boar, but it had a nice big head on it and big feet. I thought it was going to be bigger.Still a nice Vt bear for a 9 year olds first bear.
jacob and I
Dogs on tree were Guinness,Patty,Clover,Oak,Maple,Gary
First bear
