Here is a pic of my crew after roading today. Hawk (SCxGGS) is in middle

Hawk is dang near as tall as my female GGS. He is still narrow as they come but I gotta say, when we road them, he is the lead dog. That dog has so much leg on him he can trot so smooth and keep a pace that keeps most hounds running. When I got Cleo (female GGS) I was impressed at how well she moved and Hawk is in the same class...

Lt,
I didn't get a chance to expose Merlin to any bear this season. But, this burger is put up right and tough as a pine knot. After I got finished hunting yesterday, which was a total train wreck..lol. I decided to road the young dogs, as season is going out and wanted to get them all the exercise I can. I put them down expecting to run them about 3-5 miles. Well they were still full of energy so I kept easing along. After 12 miles they where tired, now take in mind these pups are a year old and younger. Merlin's feet held up better than I thought. All the dogs except he and Nelly which came from Twist, had blown out pads. Merlin is bigger and weighs more than all of them and his feet where in great shape. I am well pleased.

Thanks
