This is Jim's Titan dog all pic are curtousey of him too. I cant say enough good things about this hound & these pics dont really do him any justice. You have to see him in person to really appreciate how fine of a speciman he is. I really like the Duncan blood he is out of. He is doubled up on what I feel is out of Duncan's best cross's!!!

TreedogBoone I have 2 brothers to that Doc dog and love them to death. Good speed, hard treedogs with just the right amount of Grit.

I havent had him that long and it was by luck that I stumbled on to him. I have taken him out bear hunting and out of all the dogs he was the only to ride the rig all day both days we went out. I have taken him out coon huntng a couple of times and he is a tree dog. He is a natural when it comes to rigging and winding game. In the kennel I have to work on him a little, he hasnt seemed to find the off button. A few more sessions with the bark collar I think I will have him cured. lol

I really like Ken's Mingo hound and he crossed really good with my Shadow female. I am looking forward to crossing Doc with Shadow once he proves himself a little more. Keep me up to date with your hounds. From what I hear all the hounds out of this litter are doing well. Ken sold Tobey to a guy in TN and I guess he's catching tons of bears and bobacats and the guy claims he's one of the best hes ever owned.

Hi guys-

I just got my pup the other day from Ken and he's right at home now. He shows no shyness or anything like that when I introduced him to my other 6 dogs. The kids really are liking having a pup around and maul him a lot. My wife works for Mary Kay and at their meeting tonight they voted on the name and it turns out that Finnigan won. I guess that I can live with Finn.

This is the first pup that I've gotten since I've been on this site and have a little experience of my own to work with so....

Tonight we had some roast for super and had a little left over so I took a little and tied it to a string. I took the meat out to the front yard and drug it half way around the house. I came in and fed another piece to him and let him eat it and get excited. Then I took him outside and set him down where I started dragging the roast. He instantly dropped his nose and started following the trail. He had several losses, but with some encouragement, he did make it to the prize at the end. It is simply amazing on the instinct in these pups. He really has no idea what he's doing, but he just knows to follow his nose. I figure if this pup doesn't turn out it won't be from lack of trying, it will be from trying something that didn't work.

I've declared war on the coons that are mauling the feed room in my barn so........

I didn't really want to start Finn to early but since I'm in the process of eradicating the coons from the barn, I figured I'd better get started or I wouldn't have any coons left once I waited until Finn was ready. Well come to find out this morning, He's ready for some limited action. I had one in a live trap so I took over one of my older dogs and the pup. The older dog is all about coons, so he showed the pup what I wanted. Within a couple of seconds the hackles were up and the little bawl mouth was working! He started back about 3-4 feet and within a couple of minutes, I tied back the older dog and let him work the cage alone. He finished trying to pull the toes off that coon. His attention span is alittle short so I turned the coon out after about 15 minutes. I let the other dogs catch it and once they finished, I let him maul it for a couple more minutes. I can't believe how he was just all about killin that coon at 10 weeks. I made sure there was no way that he'd get hurt. I would have taken pics, but I was too busy laughing at how serious this little guy was. It was probably the "cutest" thing I've ever seen.

The first couple of pages have some great looking dogs. They all look like the true black and tan. Makes me think of the my old black and tan.

Here's my pup from Ken at a few days over three months. He trailed a ways and got the coon to bay up. He's coming along well and pay no mind to the pink collar, it's just what I had on hand

The pup is doing quite well. He's been spending most of his time just being a dog and learning how to run. He has been on about 6 coons and will trail and bay really well but they have caught all of them on the ground so he hasn't got a lot of time treeing. He trees the barn cats (mostly in fun) but the other day him and my border collie got one and I got an a$$ chewing. Lion and bobcat season starts tomorrow so hopefully I be able to post some pics with a kitty here soon. The other day I measured him and he is 20" at the shoulder and when you take the slack out of his ears they are 25" from end to end. He's around 40 pounds at 4 1/2 months old.

Ken Duncan has always been straight up with me and always willing to share his knowledge. What I have liked is that he prices his pups so a working man can afford them. I have a male dog that is a bow/misty pup. I also have another pup on order. Can't wait till its born.
