I did'nt know it was a sin to be a plott man.
Grew up in Haywood County (Waynesville) North Carolina staring at Plott Bald Mtn, Plott Creek, Plott Balsam its plott everything around here. The plott family cemetary is here. This is where John Plott settled raised and hunted the Plott hound. Its the state dog even. All I've ever heard was plott this and that. I live in the epicenter. I guess you either grow up in or out. I try to live by this, I'm an ABP man. Anything But Plotts! Fact is I live on my own now and pay my feed bills. I really don't care if their green or purple, big or small, short or long haired, cross eyed, web footed or have an over bite and drool like crazy if they'll do it right. I'm not color blind or married to anything.
I read something a wise bearhunter said once and he said plotts aren't just a breed its an occult! Or something like that and that sums it up for me!
I guess its sort of like drugs these old hounds are and basically I've seen what plotts have done to some good folks and I'm scared to try any!

Back in 76 I hunted out of Elko and they got some humunguss cat but it was all brush and no trees/treed up an old pole line telophone pole/ I couldn`t believe it. Bill Burman of pacific Fur & Wool furr shope told me were hed gotten a few expensive cat furs hed boughten from Elko so I finally went there and tryed it and that cat was nice, not just tall and long and pretty big built had a beautyfull coat.

I sold all my coon pelts and 1 large bobcat pelt too Bill at Picifice Wool & Furr Shope/ maybe it was Ted Burman ? he bought all his super bobcats from the same guy in Nev. who lived and hunted I believe in Elko Ne. I woundered what in the heck kind of hunten is this, but it went very well and I was inpressed cause I had good coon dogs but they werent top cat dogs thatbunch wasent and it was quite a race ! When they treed up, and I found em on an old abandoned tellophone pole ya could of knocked me over with a stick !
