Been real rough conditions out this way, had a hard time finding anything to get going. Opening weekend we had 91 degree weather, but we were fortunate enough to road a bear down the road. They also had to get one good fast race out of their system.

But we've done alright. Odds against us - out of shape, trashy dogs, dry, hot weather, and dogged out little running bears - but we managed to catch 3 this weekend. I managed to take some pictures of the bear today. Haven't been hauling the camera as it's been hot and dusty, and it's enough to carry myself!

Treed two yesterday. Aspen treed one all by her lonesome, and then they treed another. One was about 150# dark brown bear, and the second was a 300# all black bear, jumped him and treed him twice.

Here's today - I'd say 200# or so brown bear. Good fat sucker. Little nervous to be in the tree for sure. Right now we can only run one dog per tag, so we've just been running the two females, Aspen and Kelly, giving Joker some more time to hopefully get over whatever's wrong with him.

All Catch and Release here guys

Thanks guys.... We're getting a boat load of rain right now. We needed it. Hopefully things calm down by the weekend, and we don't float away.

Hopefully without 10 inches of dust on the ground things go a little smoother, and I'll be sure and take some more pictures.

This rain sure was nice, even though I found out my kennels need a little work on the roofing. Starting friday should be some good hunting. I've boxed a few bears, but they've all had their running shoes laced up and have out ran the old dogs. Once deer season is over it will be nice for the young ones to get some experiance, I know they are fast enough to keep up with these speedy bears I've been turning out on. Looks like you've been haveing a good season so far. Good luck this weekend.

Here's a video of the October 11th Bear.
Trying out all my fancy new editing softwear in my new Laptop. I lowered the quality so it wouldn't take until next bear season to load, hopefully everything works right. I have a few more on the "DL"

Here's some pictures and video from today. This was the third bear this weekend.

This one was a nice one, long hard run, and even LONGER WALK! Treed in a hole right by the Lake.
