very dissappointed kid

Just wondering if anyone in New Mexico or colorado or vicinity can help me out on this one. I had a bunch of pups out of my hound and my nephew had begged me for one (my nephew is 8 years old and lives to bear and lion hunt). I told him I was selling em for 100.00 . I was just messin with him and was saving him a pup for cristmas. Well the damn coyotes or something came and killed all the pups I had saved including his. I told him what had happened and he was one heart broken kid. His mom later told me he had taken me seriosly about the $100.00 and had gotten himself a job at the napa store sweeping floors after school and had saved up $50.00 . I feel so bad and was wondering if anyone might have a pup I could get him. Let me know I know its kinda the wrong time of year for pups but I promised him I would try.

Hey Conejos, I have a litter of pups that are 6 weeks old today. They are ready to go, I would gladly give him a pup, they are bluetick/walker cross. both parents are good dogs, if your serious give me a call, I'm in Idaho, I've got 4 pups going to eastern ID next week, so could probably get them to at least Utah. Give me a call 208-866-1561
Take care
Chad

And if he can get one to Utah I could get it to North west Colorado for you.

Thanks to all of you for your quick replys. You have confirmed what I have always known and that is that houndsman are the best people in the world. My Grandpa used to tell me you could tell allot about people by seeing how they treated dogs and kids. you guys are the best!

Good luck on the pup search Conejos; it wasn't too long ago when I was given my first pup.....Still remember it exactly to this day. I was so excited/nervous that I slammed my hand in the truck door getting out to pick out the pup. I am sure you will make your nephew a very happy kid.

I also had to comment on all the folks that posted to help out. What a great gesture, really shows the character of houndsmen.

I would part with one for free for the kid as well if you are still looking for one. They are Plott/B&T cross and should be some go getters. Right now they are 3 months and bay a caged coon and trail pretty good. I have four you can choose from. I am in central UT. Lemme know...

Conejos,

Only pups I have available right now are plott/catahoula crosses, they look like catahoulas right now. Your welcome to one for the kid if you want it.

WOW!

Sorry I have been out of touch in the hills stumbling around hunting or trying to. Anyway I am so proud to see our houndsmen bros. and sisters step up to help a new hunter.

Splendid behavior!
