Warning! Dog thief in Hayfork Ca area

Last Mon my dogs treed a bear in a deep hole up in the Deer Lick Springs area (Hayfork Ca). I was to big of a sissy to get to them so they had to stay out over night. Turned into a week. I was up every day beeping them. Picked up my old dog on Wed. The other three dogs were together. I was up everyday looking for them. Burned up $300 in gas. All dogs had tracking collars and name tags. Sun I was able to pick up two more. That left my leapord cur female out. I was unable to beep her at all. Saw dog tracks coming out of the hole so drove all the roads and hit all the high spots. Nothing. Left word at the local store, called all the dog pounds, and posted on the internet.
Today (Tue) I called Redding SPCA. CHP had just brought my dog in. They found her running down I-5 near Bowman road. Her name tag was gone but she still had her tracking collar on. Someone had picked her up, Removed her name tag, drove her over 60 miles from where they found her, and then dumped her out on the road. Makes me furious to think that someone would treat a dog that way. I would rather they kept her and gave her a good home then dump her out where she could starve to death, or get hit by a car. I would love to get my hands on the person(s) responsible.
On the good side of things, Redding SPCA was very helpful and friendly, and non judgemental. Charged me $85 and gave me my dog back with the tracking collar.
