I have a 3month old plott that the vet told me she had rickets. He gave me some vitams and told me that should take care of the problem, that was at about 12 weeks. that was about a month ago and it dosen't seem like she is getting any better.About 2 weeks ago I started giving her some milk replacer. was wondering if there is anything else I could do.I don't want to be wasting time with her if she isn't going to get better.

Was the puppy given antibiotics?
Or the mother?
If so need to get digestive tract back in balance.
Yogurt or acidophilis, (sp).
Quality food. ( no Soybean meal).
Mix in milk replacer, with hot water to make a soupy feed.
May want to add Dicalcium Phosphate.
It will very quickly correct lack of calcium .
1/2 a teaspoon may be enough a day.
A vet told me to be careful, the puppys may explode,
meaning long bone growth at an abnormal rate.
If the puppys front legs are bowed back at the ankles.
This should correct this in two or three weeks.
Last thought, worm with pyrantel weekly, till this changes.
