I know this sounds like it has nothing to do with hounds, but it certainly does. The wife has had me captured for a couple of weeks putting in new tile at our house. The tile is in, and she wants new carpet. We went to Home Depot and they want $4300.00 and can't get to it for 3 weeks at the earliest. Are any of you boys or girls carpet layers or know of one who is cheap, so I can have some money to actually hunt this winter? Help a guy out would ya?

Got to be somebody better than Home depot around. Normally their prices are much higher. It is a perceived value with the wording on the pricing, and private labels. Although you can take advantage of some great sale pricing. Don't let some of it fool ya. Always are paying full price for installation, it just get built in. For that kind of money. You either have a very big house, or picked some pricey carpet.
Some things you can do to help cut costs that some of us installers don't mind. Move the furniture. Tear out the old stuff, and have the floor clean ready to go.
Good luck with your project

Everything is out cause I did the tile, so it is just show up and put it in. I would have the old caarpet out now, if I wouldn't have trailed a pretty good tom till dark. It is damn cold, but I had to try. I was farther behind him than I thought. Found where he bedded down under an old shack. The pups came along cause they were trying to get in the truck so I said what the heck. Needless to say they were more accurate than my older dogs, and made a couple pretty good finds. The older dogs even started honoring them. I think it was just because we were in a thicket all day,and they could get through smaller holes. I'm selling all my older dogs and hunting with my pups. Thanks for the reply. Take care.
