Season has been in a week. We started off monday by killing a bear quickly. Well we have struggled tuesday wednesday and thursday of this week because it had been so dry. Well today it all changed. It was pouring cats and dogs and we found a track turned loose around 7. Dogs treed around 830 and bear was shot out at 915. Man i love the rain. Pics are soon to come.

Good to hear Bad ...we got 3 bear in the 1st week we have to work come tuesday we hope to run one Monday ran on Saturday had 5 dogs on a big bear that got into Tenn we finally found them 2 mountains and 38 miles by road from where we turned them loose( as the crows flyies would be about 10 miles).

We had a hell of a Friday 3 guys caught some of our dogs and took all there collars off....I caught them by chance and had to call the law...the collar law in NC is a joke they might have to pay $220.00 and it is a class 3 misdamenor. Hard to prove they say cause you have to see them take the collar off......now who in the hell ever gets to see that????caught them at the river as they went to toss the collars .....we found the dogs in there driveway

Sounds like that could have gotten ugly quick. What's the best legal way to handle that situation when you find yourself in it? Did the game warden arrest the guys or just give them tickets? Just curious.

not sure yet they fled and were caught down the road 20 miles they smelled of beer ....blew 2 /1000 under legal drunk level...then we left police station to hunt up the dogs

UPDATE:

6 bears in 9 days...8 hunting days but 9 calender days.

We got called into work....no hntig this week....boss is letting us off early this evening so we can hunt tomorrow....last 2 we ran got into Tenn. But all this rain will surely help.
