For those who win at the RQE's in the Western States; Zone 8 will be held Sept.18th & 19th this year which is the same time as the other 7 Zones. That is great news and want to thank all of you that played a part in making this happen. Being in Washington State we now have two weeks to prepare for this event since our season comes in Sept 1st and second if you make it through the Zones your half way there to the World which dates and location will be announced very soon.
I want to say congrads to Brady Harper for making Zone 8 a reputable zone and help keep most of us within a days driving distance. For those that might not know Brady he won the World Champion Bluetick for 2009 and made it futher in the World Hunt than anyone in the Western Zone ever.

Not so sure this is great news for everybody.Its my understanding it was changed because some wanted to go to oaks and the zones. It will be interesting to see how many that participate in the zones will go to oaks now? that would be what like 3 weeks vacation oaks back to worland then back to indiana.I think most working folk need to put in for vacation and dont think many will be able to call from worland sunday and tell the boss they wont be in for a week.also dont think alot of dogs are going to ride in the box 2 or 3 days and be able to compete at that level without being acclamated for only 1 day so we will see just my opinion. congrats to brady for his win.

To bad OR and WA missed the deadline for their RQE's. That will be at least 4 dogs less at the zones.

I know WA did, but did OR? I haven't heard that OR isn't having their RQE... Can anyone confirm this?

Both are not listed in the March upcoming UKC events and if i remember right(correct me if i am wrong) they can't run hounds in the woods April thru August?????

The OREGON RQE is in March... I believe it is March 6th... There is going to be a UKC field trial also that day with the Bench Show and Nite Hunt... It's happening.. I'm not sure why it is not listed...

Can you post the location, deadline times and fees? there are some folks in Montana here that would like to attend.

OK..... I pulled it up on UKC's RQE page... It is showing March 12th which is a FRIDAY.. We are looking into it, because we have the 6th down and have it for a Saturday so we can have the field trial.. When I get more info I will post it....

I should know Monday on what is going on....

Sorry.. The field trial will be at EE.... Now we are trying to find out for sure WHEN... Nora has a call in to find out the when... I will know probably Monday....

Bloodlines states the 12th of March @ EE Wilson and that's the Bible.

I will be traveling over to the Feb 26th hunt in WA and looking for a handler for that night and also the RQE on March 12th.
Since were not having two nights of World Qualifing I need help with a very nice Blue English Female that has no reverse and not for the weak hearted. So if someone QUALIFIED to handle a tough wide hunter please let me know. There will an incentive and if you wish you can also hunt her at the Zones also.
