Thanks guys. I will not be with any family this Christmas as the twins will be in Jamaica and Brandon in California.

First Christmas solo, but will be having coffee Christmas morning with a good friend, so really can't complain too much. Now if Santa was to bring me a shiney new red puppy then that would be perfect!

Santa brought me a hunting parnter with two nearly seven month old pups to train, and it's gonna be fun. I got so excited I went out and bought another sled, gonna buy some more toys and have some fun. Well the coffee is on yall!

Speaking of Christmas...my 17 yr old son on his way to his dad's hit black ice passing a semi (of which the semi realized they hit at the same time)....it was either hitting the semi or the shoulder. He picked the shoulder of the road which after hitting two big boulders sent him airborne up and over landing on the top of his pickup....he managed to walk away from this with just a big gash on his head from the windshield. This happened Christmas morning. He was only gone from my house 20 min....hold on to what you love and never forget to tell those you love them! I lost my dad in Nov to cancer and in turn lost some 'friends' because of my emotions...guess they probably were not really 'friends'...but I got to tell my dad good-bye---I may not have been able to my son...
I wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year and don't forget to tell those you love that you do.
And another note--up until the little 'wreck incident'...I did have a good Christmas!
Happy safe awesome New Year to everyone on this site!!!

Bearsmom,
Oh my goodness! That is a horrible sight! It is obvious the good Lord was watching over him! I am a firm believer in miracles happen everyday. Sometimes we do not always realize they do until something like this happens and you have to sit and wonder how. Even though it was a terrible and horrific experience, I believe you were blessed with a Christmas miracle. Best of luck in the New Year! Thanks for sharing your story!

Thanks very much Big Horn. And he definately had an angel with him when that pick up came flying down on it's top! From the markings we estimated he was airborne at least 15 ft. Not a picture a mom wants to drive up and see.
Again wishing all a safe and Happy New Year! Ha, ha...I remember telling my son in the hospital it's a good thing he did not do this on the 1st! Don't ask me why---maybe just thinking we all as a family needed a new start and New Year and that was not my picture of it....! His response was well 'at least he kept his shoes on' during his wreck! As if he had any room to loose them!
Happy New Year all!
