got a call today to come quick and check on my good lion dog when i got there she was almost dead couldnt stand eyes were sunk in her head i loaded her up and made a mad dash for the vet made it there an hour later set her down on the table and before we could get an I.V. in her she died about five minutes later we had brought her back to life i stayed and talked things over with the vet for about an hour and a half she was walking a little and setting up so i left 3 hours later i got the call that she had passed on for good strangest thing i have ever seen she was real healthy and after a hard day hunting she lost alot of wieght and i was havin a time puttin it back on her she was lookin a lot better yesterday so i took her huntin and she trailed a bobcat for about two and a half miles and still good as ever and today it was like she just melted away she will be missed by many everyone that had hunted around her thought the world of her i dont know that its even possible for me to even replace her anyway thats how the day went

Where do you live?

Our best bear Plott caught a few lions down here in AZ and ever since then he was never right. The vets in Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona all had different stories... They all said it could be Cocsimatosis or something like that... An infection from wild cats, even some house cats. It affects their respiratory systems and messes with their weight really bad... Cabo had to sleep sitting up against a wall so he could breathe.

I am sorry to hear, always a terrible day when someone loses a good dogs :(

Wow... Maybe she had what Cabo had... Cabo's younger brother Ocho Loco had it too.

Some say here in AZ dogs can get Valley Fever, from the ground. It is like a spore that grows? I don't know much about it.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss :(
