Work has gotten in the way once or twice, but we have had a good start to the NC season 5 bears as of 0945 this morning and no dogs lost. Some of the older dogs are leading the way for the younger dogs one 11 month walker has been on 4 of the 5 bears killed and was in the lead on 2 of them. The future looks great for him. I have put on avg 6 miles a day glad i found some nice lite hunting boots.
Have seen more hollers, ridges, saddles and gaps then i can name or remember.Yes i do have some great pics will put them in Walgreens tomorrow and have them up for the weekend.
Hope the rest of you here on the East Coast are having as much fun as we are and only 2 weeks to the Tenn short hunt.

Gator,
Has your group gotten any big bears? Just wondering how the sizes are running this year.
Are most of them being treed or bayed?
Good Luck and God Bless!

I miss spoke about 5/11 it was 6/11 we found out late yesterday that two killed a tree bear for us and took the dogs and fed them and watered them then called us to tell us where they were tied.

To answer the post we have had 4 in the tree and 2 on the ground 127 is the smallest and our biggest is right at 200.....they wouldnt tell us the size of the one they shot out of the tree on us just that it was big

yes ..one of the people we hunt with had a UNDERSTANDING with these two people that if they heard our dogs and went to them ....and kept the dogs for us they could shot and have the bear.....guess it was a few years back they had a bigger problem then that so that was the agreement between the two parties
