That's what I told Scott!

He said they wandered around out there in the cold for a long time. But never be to sure they know excacty what they were looking for I have seen some from both groups that couldn't identify a cougar track even a herd of cougars. LOL!

I had seen a posting of this that said Matetsee, Wyo as well. But it could very well have been taken at cougar study facility much like the Hornaker one in Idaho. We won't know until the guy that snapped the photos comes forward and submitts for a lie detctor test. LOL!

For now my story is going to be just a little north of Witchita Falls, Texas after the last snow storm. LOL!

Mike,

I bet this was a trap to get every lion hunter in North, Central and Eastern Wyoming to head out to have a look. You know all that land south of Sheridan (Story) is all private and most full the artsy fartsy types that will not let us step foot on their land. So could be Game and Fishes way of getting us all in one spot to see just who is willing to trespass. To go try their luck at treeding the whole pride  Speaking of Hornocker. I bet your right they are probably some of his "study" cats.

I had one well known hound guy tell me he figured it was one female in heat and four toms following. LOL!

He must be spending to much time in nice boy clubs and bars. LOL!

All those guys setting around nice a peaceable with each other gazing at the one pretty girl in town. LOL!

From what I have seen out of tom lions the setting is more like the Mint Bar in downtown Sheridan on rodeo night. The new pretty girl hits town and leaves unscathed because all the town hot shots are rolling around in the street trying to knock each other's dental work out of their heads. LOL!
