my lucky day

A couple days ago a lady in the local bar told me I should read this book on hounds by her friend, Pete Hughes. I looked around for it and didn't find it so I went back to the bar today hoping I'd find the lady who recommended it to ask her the title. Well, she wasn't there, but when I told my story to the other barkeeper, she got out her phone called someone and said "there's some guy here who wants to buy your book..."
She put me on the phone with Pete, and I went over to his house and bought a copy on my way home. He spent about an hour talking to me about hounding in New Mexico as a government hunter for 40 years. He showed me some of his mementos and talked about some of the stories in his book.
It made my day. (week?, month?, year?)
The book is called Gone Huntin' by the way, and if you want to track it down it's isbn# is 141202143-x.
