Cobalt, i have enjoyed your pics that you have been willing to share on this forum along with the advice. As for this comment....
"Well, I've waited a couple days for someone to step in and make a statement regarding the pics Mr. Rockcreek posted. First off, it is sad your "grade dog buddies" are in collusion with this irrisponsible display of ego."
Who are Rockcreek's "grade dog buddies"? And if this was intended for me.....i didn't even know that there was a grade dog forum on here unti today. I have no idea what pics were posted. And for that matter i'm not in collusion with "ANYONE"!!!
I make my own decisions like every other grown person does. I am accountable for my action an noone elses. If you have a problem with someone on here, take it up with them. Dont go throwin out statements that leave people to assume. I talk and get along with about everyone on this forum.....yes, even those that don't care for Rockcreek.
If this statement was intended for someone else..... i leave you my sincere apology and am sorry for any harm.
Jason

Poser- As larry said, my comment about Rockcreeks "buddies" was only a response that he was hoping he had permission from them(I have no idea who rockcreeks buddies are), which to me was saying even he was questioning some of those pics. I have no beef with him or you, I just didn't want people thinking thats how good dog trainers, train. He later stated that there was no wrong done, which may be correct, although you and I know that anybody examining those pics would come to some negative conclusions as to what the hell was going on there!! I'm sure he has good dogs and I know you do, it just seemed a little extreme to make a point. If it was a contest to show whose grade dogs pics were the most gruesome,......well, I'll stop there. Sorry you felt like it was an attack on you. If any one of my friends implicated me in that vain for their own ego's sake, they'd surely make me question what the bleep was wrong with them!!
Oh, while I'm on my pulpit, I enjoy your pics, tambien, and your clever way with words. Amen--
Brett

I will say that I read Cobalt's post in total ( grade dog post) and find nothing wrong with what he said. I, too, like to see pictures of trail hounds as well as game animals in trees as much as the next guy. I have caught & seen plenty! In fact, one of the best pictures I have seen was of a huge adult male lion that you posted, what an awesome animal. I would have stated what picture, but I see that you have removed them all, what a shame. Ike, as well, has removed his. This is not called the world wide web for nothing and I would hope that most, if not all, would post things, whether written or otherwise, that would put big game or any type of hunting in a good enough light so as the average person that viewed this site could not draw any conclusions. I myself have never, and will never, post a picture I have taken. I am not ashamed nor am I embarrassed of my sport or my role in game management. That being said, someone on here would say to that comment, it's because I have never caught anything! So be it. I have nothing to prove to anyone, including myself. There is not a soul on here that knows who I am, or where I am from, and I would just as soon keep it that way. A lot of this should be kept in the "cage." No one wants to be the Internet police, but it is solely up to us to protect this way of life for now and the future. I will give an example; The House of Commons in Great Britain outlawed fox hunting with hounds in 2001. Now this was a sport that only the nobles were able to participate in, so don't think for one minute that it can't happen in the United States. After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the animal rights groups have grown ten fold, working on the heart felt emotions of common people to raise money, take what information they can use and steal photos to illustrate their point. Bottom line, IMO if a person can't do this sport with style and class maybe they should take up another hobby.........Rockcreek may speak for himself, but if there is anything I have learned from life it comes from some old sayings or (idioms) that birds of the feather flock together and one bad apple spoils the whole bunch. I don't know you from Adam. I have seen from your illustrations that you and your hounds can catch game. Humility is something that everyone should aspire to. Just my thoughts.

I apologize to anyone that I offended with the pics I posted. I understand how many of you, not having been there, would not understand what was happening.
Poser- The pics are some of the same ones you had posted in the old Photo forum post.
Cobalt- You keep talking about my "ego"... and I find that very funny. Everything I have is pretty much average, except for my friends and my family. You don't know me, so please do not pretend to.
Sourdough- You also don't know me, or my buddies. Please do not pretend to either.
I am lucky to have a few buddies with good dogs, that like to hunt. We don't break laws and we have fun. The internet is a funny thing and leaves everything wide open for interpretation.
Take care.

Rockcreek, maybe you ought to read your own posts sometime.
Ego-definition- Excessive self opinion. Synonyms-hubris, conceit, arrogance, vanity, narcissism, and the big one....PRIDE. Tell me you don't have pride in your dogs. Maybe I can help..."All Grade dogs in these pics... and so far they're passing". Just calling 'em as I see 'em. Ego isn't necessarily a bad thing. If I didn't have some ego when it came to my dogs, I'd get different dogs. No need to be so defensive.... and then so offensive.

No defense, no offense. Just laughs.

Cobalt, I hope that you can accept my apology. Another example of not knowing the whole story and assuming. Once again, sorry for what its worth.
Larry, I don't get into mason's business or try to parent him. I know that you guys have had words and it doesn't mean anything to me. If i met you on the mountain i'd stop and bs with you just the same as everyone else. Thats not sayin i agree with what you two argue about but once again im not here to try and control anyone. I think that i have sent you one or two pms about all of this.
sourdough, i misunderstood what cobalt was sayin. My fault! Didn't see the post till everything had been deleted. As far as bein humble......i "think" i am. Just like to share pics and have a good time.
Those pics are posted under trashy mustang hounds. In all my wisdom i accidentally deleted them and thought it was easier to just start a new thread. There is a short version of the story with that cat there. If that cat would have stayed in a tree and let us get our dogs those pics would have not taken place. That was the last place any of us wanted to be that day. Luckily the cat was caught right out of the tree and we hollered the dogs off. Didn't have a light and i was waitin for Poco to come and get us. The cat did have "what looked like a trap mark" on its left hind leg, but it sure didn't slow it down. I went back the next day and tracked the cat out. He was fine.
Sorry for the misunderstanding and drama, jason
