If you want written rules you're going to have to get involved in the club and work up some rules, you'll get some that will think that there not needed until they understand that they just make things better for everybody involved in the hunts, the field trials went though the same problems a few years ago but now when you show up at the field trials the rules are posted at North Central California houndsmens field trials sure takes a lot of the fighting out of the field trials.

Good point Dale. I've been to many races and trials and they can get pretty nasty! Fishman ur probly not telln the whole story cuz with the president on site and a 4-3 vote your way...why get in your truck and leave without ur money? There was a 10lb difference between your two coons...why the need to weigh them both? Should be only one coon, one weigh in...imagine if everyone in the hunt wanted to weigh in several coons they caught?? Might try carrying a scale in your pocket! Anywho hope all goes well at your guys meeting tonite...chalk it up, get in voted on and put it in print cuz in the heat of competition whats in print (bylaws, consititution, event rules, etc.) is what stands. With anti's and all others, we hunters/houndsmen got enuff to fight about other then with ourselves, if you believe ur right, stand up for it, get involved and make a change!!! :beer
