Has anyone tried 44 Magnum Shotshell Ammo on bobcats? I was thinking of trying a box but didn't want to invest until I heard some reviews from a few other hunters who had tried them. Thanks for the comments in advance...

You gotta remember, there's no choke on a .44 Mag and with the riflings scattering your shot, your shot pattern is likely to be in excess of 2 feet in diameter at 10 yards depending on barrel length. Given your small shot size in the #9 to #12 range, you're not going to have any penetration beyond that either. So unless you're intent is to sting them a good one, you're better off using a slug.

only thing they are good for is shooting copperheaded-rattlemoccins at 10 feet.
might work on a rat but too much noise in an old building!

357 shot shells are just as good for that matter.

I assume you want to shoot a bobcat with a .44 mag and are concerned about pelt damage. If so, just get some .44 special indoor or reduced velocity target loads, full metal jacket if possible. Poke 'em in the ribs and not through the front shoulders and it should be fine.
