my worst day ever

Last Dec. my wife bought me an early X-mas present, her and my oldest son drove for about 20 hours straight to go pick up Cricket. My wife paid 500.00 for a 8 year old walker female that was going to be my new cat dog. The dog was everyyhing and more what Don Johnson (the owner) said she was.
She treed 4 bobs this season for me this season and did a fine job doing it, until last friday,I put her down on another bobcat around 3:45 in the afternoon, she was cold trailing the track for about two hours and I never did hear her jump it, but the treeing switch in her coller was going off. She was in a roadless area which was makeing it difficult for me to get close to her. After about 4-5 hours of her treeing switch going off I decided I was going to have to walk in to find her, by the way I never heard her barking. My oldest son and I found her tracks and started walking, we walked for about an hour through some of the nastyest reprod and blow downs that i have ever walked threw. I kept checking my reciever and could tell that we were getting closer but still couldnt hear anythig, we found her tracks and stayed on them.
After about another 1/2 hour of walking the wosrt happend, we found blood everywhere it looked like a war zone, I couldnt believe what we were seeing. About 15 feet away I found her tracking collar and her name plate collar liyng there on top of the snow, ther must have been 7,8,or 9 coyote tracks all around ther. My son found 4 pieces of bone on the ground and that was it. I never in my life seen anything like this, those coyotes ate everything. I would never have thought coyotes would do something like this. Crickit is gone but she wont be forgotten, I will get my reveng on coyotes.
