SLUGGER IS HAS A LOUD BAWL MOUTH, INDEPENDENT, ONE A HECK OF A TREE DOG, AND LOVES TO BAY A BEAR, HE CAUGHT TWO ON THE GROUND THIS PAST SEASON. HE IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD, COMES FROM A LONG LINE OF TOP PRODUCERS, AND COULD BE AN ASSETT TO ANYONE BREEDING PROGRAM.

Give Dale Knottingham a call and see what he thinks of SLUGGER - I still haven't met Dale, only talked to him on the phone, but he wants to breed his best female to SLUGGER. He had an encounter w/Slugger the 2nd day of WV bear season last December, Slugger got off on a bear Dale's hounds were running and he had it bayed up w/them when Dale got there, he was impressed w/SLUGGER's grit and said he never backed down even when he and the bear went face to face. No bear yet this year, we usually try to hold off until after Turkey season. Usually start around the end of May. The lease we are in limits when we are allowed to train.

Slugger finished to Nitech this weekend, I entered him in 3 UKC hunts and he finished with a 1st place and 2 2nd places.

Slugger is a loud, independent hound, but most of all his is accurate. All his wins came w/the leaves off the trees.

Slugger is bred from Kenny Abbott's all time #1 reproducing coonhound female Abbott's Nocturnal Jodie, she is in top and bottom side of Slugger's pedigree up close. That's something that you won't find everyday, Slugger should be a great producer.
