Would like to see it even lower, but it's better then whats been going on. But I got a job on the other side in Parma so I am movin saturday. Hopefully this will slow the "cell phone trophy groups" down enough the population can start to come back in a few and you all can have some decent running again. Lance

i wouldnt bank on it going down any further then that. 22 seems like a high number but we are talkin about a pretty big area geographically. and once the dead of winter comes alot of those areas are very tough to access. plus southeast idaho is one of the most popular places in idaho to persue trophy mule deer. so you know that the deer hunters are going to fight for an even higher quota and will probably get it.

I wish they'd put a quota on ever unit in the state. Our local outfitters would close the season in a few days and that'd be fine by me!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree. There should be quota's statewide as our cougar population is so low it makes cougar season a joke. Even compared to ten years ago, the numbers are ridiculous. Look back fifteen to twenty years and you can see how truly bad it has gotten here in Idaho. The IDFG is blind or in denial when it comes to how few cougar we have.

In the meeting it sounded like they might actually go through with the it, but I will believe it when I see it in the regs for next year.
