I have been getting into hounds for the past couple months and plan on getting into late into my college years or after college, so I'm on here now learning so i might have a little jump on that part of my life, thats my excuse

for what may seem like a dumb question...What is rigging? I see it all over on here, but its one of the few things I can't quite put together in my head.

All good answers and here is another take. A hard bear or lion (and I've had my hounds hit a lion from the box as hard as any bear) is in my opinion the best part of hunting, as there is just something about driving down the road with total silence and then having every dog in and on the box go off at the same time with a roar. For a man or woman who has hunted very long that way, it is the realization that the dogs are just a few seconds or minutes away from being on the ground and down a track; to me it's the excitement of what they've hit? a bear, a large bear, a lion, a tom lion, how fresh is that track and will it lead to a tree or not. In my opinion, if a person doesn't get excited about the rig then they might as well stay at the house cause they've missed one of the best parts about hunting...........
